Strip: Guillemot strongback

Hi everyone,
I'm about to cut my box beam strongback to length for a Guillemot single, and I really don't want to mess it up. I've studied the book and ascertained that the overall length is either 15' or 14' 11". Can someone clarify? Also, the book calls for making forms 8, 9 and 10 complete, them cutting off the tops for the cockpit recess and hot gluing them back in place to help keep the deck strips fair. My offset table for those 3 forms doesn't include the tops. I might be looking at this wrong...
