I'd actually love to see HK. HUGE city on the water and a city unto itself. Then there's all that interesting topography to say nothing of the culture - and learning
just how close chinese food compares to what they sell us over here. BUT, really? To leave St. Thomas, Martin, John, Croix or Grand Cayman? After living the life there -
wow... thats hard fall - atleast as I project it. You're going from this blue water eden of sorts to a cramped dirty metro. If I lived in Thomas and had to pick a place I'd like to go that didn't have the blue water but still elevated my senses.... wow..... Switzerland? Italy [Rome-Florence] ... I could go to places like that and still feel that high.
London maybe - but that starts to lose the eden aspect.

For my ultimate Eden... now that Ive used the word several times, the best buzz of the other worldly tropical heaven... something in the South Pacific. I'd like to visit the Bora Bora Hotel. Moorea.... kayak along an atoll from one "bead" of islet to the other as I paddled the "necklace" so many atolls seem to resemble.

Still fantasizing here and I love the whole China thing.... I'd probably prefer Japans Tokyo or Osaka, the inland see thing and all that.

OK - back to reality. I'm unemployed and my gas budget is tight to say the least.

Now THATS a hard fall. OOOUCCHH!!!
