I got a copy of Gary Dierking's "Building Outrigger Sailing Canoes" for Christmas. Very good book, simple designs, and lots of flexibility. Most are shunting rigs (You have to actually stop the boat and sail "backwards" instead of tacking) but there are also tacking rigs. Will be good for island-hopping if I can afford the wood. Looking forward to pics of your boat.
