My Night Heron is 16"x18". I make my own apparel, so I don't have to worry what size it is. My new whitewater kayak is 35", but because of the tight hip and thigh braces it's actually harder to get in, in a relative sort of way. Many historic Greenland kayaks carry a pretty standard size of 16" round due in large part to the availability of commercially-made mast hoops in the 19th Century that were made in that size.
