Good Morning, I hope all is well.
My Meganser 17 w is comming along nicley Ill be doing the Tack Glue up this week.

I am Installimng a skeg in this boat and have purchased a Kit Made by Kajak sports (purchased from Newfound)

the skeg comes with the cable, tubing , Box , blade and slide control (less than $100.00) the model I ended up with has a angled flange with a screw hole on each end. for mounting options what would be your best advise

1) mount from the inside nestle flange against hull neatly ,

2) mount from outside

3) use screw holes? I was thinking if I mounted inside I would emmbed some SS screws in epoxy (like blind footrest install) or use ss screws trough hull and seal??

as for access the meganser rear hatch is just behind the rear bulkhead and not very large thus I wouln't be able to reach skeg though it, should I

1) install a second small hatch to be able to get at skeg

2) skip the Kit layout and cut in a longer narrower hatch (further to stern) so I can get at skeg if I need to!

and lastly

the skeg Box is a very durable plastic, it will have to be roughed up real good for epoxy to stick OR should I mount it with 3M 5200 or similar?? I used 5300 on my outdrive seal for the big boat and that stuff is tough as it gets.

many thanks

happy paddling
