: Hi All,
: Was wondering about the feasability of using an existing hull as a
: form to lay strips on?
: * Would obviously have to protect the existing hull from epoxy and
: could be tricky seperating the hull from the original.
: * Stapleless construction so as not to damage original hull.

: Any other pros/cons?

: i'm sure that this query has popped up before and will do a
: detailed search should there be some merit in the idea.
: Cheers in advance.

The process is possible, though would be "much" easier doing it in straight fiberglass construction without the wood core.

Depends on what you're going to copy, there are lots of boats out there that are no longer in production that pretty much eliminate the discussion about stealing a design.
