S&G: skeg cable tube routing /support

Good morning everyone, I hope all is well.

the merganser is moving along quite well , I glued in the skeg box last night and all looks good. my question is with the skeg cable tube.

How well should that be supported.

like a brake cable on a bicycle the less movment the better. the tubing is a very stiff plastic , the kit came with clips to hold tubing down.

since this is a S&G boat with no shear strip there isnt a whole lot of places to screw the tube to without adding wood.

SOOO

1) glue in a few pieces of wood to secure tubing to

2)sheath plastic tube with copper tube to keep it nice and stiff less support needed ?? (overkill perhaps)

3) best routing ?? straight to corner of bulkhead then direct to slider or turn left to hull then along hull/through bulkhead to slider ...

many thanks
"John"
