I too have the forms for the strip version but the thought of how much work it will be (single dad with two small kids) seems like too much of a project. The S&G version would be much more manageable from a time standpoint and still get a great boat, just not quite as attractive. The second little issue I have with strip building is that I am allergic to the common used yellow wood glue. My last project, a cedar strip canoe, I ended up using an allergy medicine to complete the stripping as my face and hands would swell from the glue contact. I do not know if there is another formulation which would work for me.
