Btw, our club just hosted a demo session for a neighboring city with a local dealer and after our session there just happened to be a cardboard boat race. Not alot of boats but they all managed to stay afloat for the roughly 100 yard course, most also sunk soon afterwards. A couple didn't make the 100 yards before filling with water. I can't imagine putting in the work needed to build a kayak only to have it only last 100 yards or less.
