I always carry duct tape. I'm thinking more along the lines of a longer trip where the longevity of tape really wouldn't cut it. I posted recently about a pretty rough landing where a rovck cut through my glass and into the wood. It doesn't take much to envis an even worse accident. In that case I was able to repair it with mattre cement. But it could have easily ended the trip or stranded us.
