Looks good to this point. What happened the the bottom edge of form two? I have just finished stripping the hull of guillemot and have eight strips on the deck.

Things I learned the hard way are:

Make sure your end forms are bolted on good and strong mine twisted about half an inch at the bow and a quarter inch at the stern, straightening this sucked and my spirit was crushed. Pay attention to your strongback for the first three strips per side and do like Nick says in his book, one on the left, one on the right, another on the right, then two on the left, two on the right. I don't know if this would help I did side to side.

After you get three to five strips up from the shear start to pay special attention to the stern at forms 15, 16, and 16.5. This area is going to want to go straight from form 15 to the end of the hull. Don't let it! I did and wound up with a rope twisted around the hull at form 16 to pinch it in and a hot wet towel on it for days to steam soak the pinch into it, this worked well but did take time.

As for the curve of the shear I only used a heat gun this worked great! I stapled my strip from the middle to the ends and when it got to where the bend started I used the heat gun in one hand and gently pushed down on the strip until it was where it needed to be then taped it in place to let it cool and did the stern of the boat. Time with heat gun in hand was prob. only one minute per end. This worked so well I didn't use any cheaters. I am using 1/4 x 3/4 bead and cove by the way.

Good luck
