I've never glues my nostrials, but have had to peel urethans, glue, paint... many times from my hands. I like gloves, but when the latex ones get old they fall apart and leave you unprotected. I've noticed that the vinyl ones do better for some materials (not varnish), but I still fine skin holds up the best (until it falls off :-) ).
