: I'm looking for a strip design about 16- 16 1/2' long, around
: 20" wide, to use for day trips and playing in waves. In
: gear, I weigh about 160 lbs. Others consider me an advanced
: paddler. I have a variety of rolls and am happy in 5-6' waves.

I built a BTD Njord for a customer a few years ago who weighed around 130 pounds. We worked with Bjorn and scaled the standard Njord to fit his build. He loves it. How about talk to Nick and see about scaling down a Petrel?
I'm in a similar boat (so to speak). I'm 6'-0" tall but less than 150 pounds (one of those lanky, runner types). It seems most of the designs out there are for paddlers around 200 pounds or higher.
