: Hey, I saw that you changed the rocker on your OI. I am building an
: OI this winter. I will stay with the 17' 10" length, but
: have heard so much about its absolute tracking. Could you give
: me some advice on how much and how you changed the rocker? I
: also like the idea of a keyhole cockpit. Thanks

Rocker at the bow was increased by 1/2", rocker at the tail by 1/4" as I prefer to track heavy in following seas. Jay has a wonderfully designed kayak, it's secondary stability is great, don't be afraid to push it when edging. By shortening the length to 17' or 17.5 turning was much easier.

The keyhole shape was first recessed, the combing shape was taken directly from my NDK Explorer.

Very importantly, Jay is not above approach. He is patient and is always helpful. Write him directly.
