I am at exactly this point in my build. Here is what I am doing.

I started at the Sheer Line and worked my way up, past the chine. As soon as I completed the strips over the chine, I put in keel strips. I am now alternating between a side strip and a keel strip.

Now let me mention this. I am building mine as a staple-less build. Well, I was, until I had to put in the keel strips. I used a few stables in the first 2 keel strips. The compound curve and twist that it needs to fasten to the stem is...challenging.
