Why is your spreadsheet not precise enough ?

If you want inches in your spreadsheet, or on a calculator, just multiply decimal feet X 12 and you will have inches plus tenth's
Use an Imperial ruler that is in tenths and you will be fine. You will normally find tenths(1/10) on the same ruler as sixteenths(1/16).

Example = .780 decimal feet X 12 = 9.36 inches. Round up to 9.4in if you wish as that's accurate enough for making SOF cross sections.
Assuming .780 is in cell B8, then the formula is =SUM(B8*12)

Otherwise, just use the metric offsets provided for the Sea Bee and use a metric ruler. I show the offsets in centimeters, but millimeters
are simply a matter of moving the decimal point one place to the right.

Metric is a very precise / accurate way to go about this.

2.54cm or 25.4mm = 1 inch.

.780 decimal feet X 12 X 2.54cm = 23.77cm or 237.7mm ... round up to 238mm

.780 decimal feet X 12 X 25.4mm = 237.7mm
Assuming .780 is in cell B8, then the formula is =SUM(B8*12*25.4)

I use an old version of Excel, so the formula's may be setup differently in later versions.

Good luck with the Sea Bee :)
