I'll assume you are mainly confused by using offsets. In the Folding Kayak Builders Manual go to the Frame Building Section, and read "Using Offsets".
The Folding manual is the oldest of the three, and as such contains the most info as I'm not prone to repeat myself :) Folks building the wood frame
kayaks sometimes fail to read the other manuals, and I recommend you read all three.

I'm often asked why I don't provide full size cross sections drawing. It's not that I can't as I have the software, it's because I always build my own boats
from offsets, and as such see no reason to provide other builders of my boats with methods different than I use. If this were a business, which it isn't,
I'd likely provide them.

Besides, offsets are unique, and add to the learning experience. I always enjoy creating a boat from numbers :)
