Thanks for the help I really did not think about the weight capacity with gear. it looks like there are 3 models of the Cayuga 110 130 and 146 in lengts 10' 13' and 14' for a beginner is a shorter or longer boat better? Is there a huge noticablr difference in handling a 10' compared to 14'? How important is getting a ruter for controll or is it just better to learn how to use the paddle?
