Canvas pliers

I found canvas stretching pliers extremely helpful if not necessary.

I did a one piece of poly. I used the pliers to stretch it tight by pulling it up to the gunnels and stapling into the gunnel with regular staples (that get removed later).
The canvas pliers have a lump that you rest against the wood and leverage back and you� can get the skin very� tight. The sides and bottom are tight then you pull the deck together and sew it and releasing staples as you sew along.

You may find the pliers at a local art or craft store.
