In Response To: Epoxy: How much pre coat is enough?? (Travis)

: Just put the first layer of Raka epoxy on bare wood (redwood and
: cedar) My question is the redwood was reclaimed pickle barrel
: slats and is very dry and seems to have swallowed alot of epoxy.
: The surface has some shiny spots and some dull spots. I applied
: the epoxy via squeegee this time as I was unhappy with my
: results from brush and roller last time. Do I go ahead with
: glass or should I let this first coat dry and throw on another
: coat prior to glassing?? Travis

The epoxy will seal the surface with one coat just fine. The differences in finish won't matter in the least, go ahead and glass it.
