How waterproof is waterproof... I have been doing an informal test with the 2002 GF. I had some strips of 1/4x1/4 mahogany glued to 1/2x1/4 WRC that I used for accent strips on my last kayak. I needed some garden stakes one day, and in Thomas Hill's book Ultralight Boatbuilding one of his arguments against covering marine plywood with epoxy ("epoxy is for gluing, paint is for painting") is that he has used scraps as garden stakes for years and never had any of them fall apart. So I figured I'd give my scraps a try. I'm headed into my second full season. They've been outside all winter. Watered, rained on, and sunned on all summer. No sings of ANY deterioration in the glue joints AT ALL. They are still as completely seamless as the day I stuck them in the ground- even the part IN the ground. I'll let you know how they look when I reposition them in a couple months.

Not trying to sell anyone on anything. I still use TB I, II, and III as well as Elmer's white glue, CA glue, hyde glue, and fish glue. Just a case of curiosity meeting necessity.

You left off dropping your kayak on a gravel parking lot, though... (it's doing fine)
