Bill,

Did you go to the website? "20 years of designing out flaws" might say that the rig works, no matter what your theory. There does not appear to be any leeboard, etc. Why would you decide the schooner rig would not be in the right place? Actual usage is probably better judge than a quick guess. There are a lot of things that may not be "perfect" but work anyway. SOF boats and asymmetric board less catamaran sailboats come to mind.
