Even with my SOF, I started with the intention of alwsys using the foam. That lasted for about two trips on the car as well. Ah well, it's only paint and can be touched up if required.

Not sure about the exact weight, but it's pretty easy to grab by the coaming and toss it onto the rack. I'm guessing 35lbs
