Beware of off brand tape it leaves the stickem goo on the epoxy. I have had good luck with 3M Scotch clear packaging tape. I use the regular weight because it stretches better and is cheaper per foot than the heavy duty. 3M Tartan packaging tape is even thinner and cheaper but can tear in half when stretching tightly.

A rag soaked in mineral spirits (paint thinner) left on the tape goo a couple hours will allow it to be wiped off.
