: The Wooden Boat Show is coming up in 2 weeks and of course i'm
: running down to the wire to get my kayak finished in time. If i
: were to run out of time and not able to varnish before the show;
: would all my hard work go down the drain from 5 days of fun in
: the sun or is varnish a must-do before going outside at all.

It will be fine. I have purposefully put my boats out in the sun for days before doing the final sanding and varnishing in order to get the epoxy well cured.
