I built this footbrace set from the plans in Nick's book for my Guillemot a few years ago. Great woodwork challenge, and sturdy design. I paddled that boat last weekend and the braces still work fine. I made the base and slider out of oak and the foot area out of plywood and epoxied the lot. I make my own Autocad plans for all the stuff I build, but I agreed with Nick I wouldn't publish these. His book is what got me into this very rewarding activity, and I'd never undermine his ability to sustain his business. I'd strongly recomend buying his book as Marc says.
