: I have a expedition single and am finishing a night heron. I was in
: the expedition and went out with a GIRL in a surf ski. We went 5
: miles. 2.5 each way. She RELAY kicked my as. I paddled full bore
: the compete time and she left me in the dust.I would like to
: build a light sit on top that could at least keep up, but that
: may be impossible. How is the mystery? And are there any others?

Have to remember the ski is very long which adds to the speed potential, but also VERY narrow as well. Very long very skinny round bottom boats are quite fast, also not what one would call stable. Might take quite a few dunkings before you'll begin to feel a little comfy in it.
