Strip: J Hatches!!! Light weight and water tight!

Well after putting this method of building hatches through multiple tests, they have proven very well. I have been on multiple camping trips, put them through some nice breaking waves, and have done a lot of rolling and still no water. My Objective was to build something that is flush, small flanged, light, strong, inexpensive, and most important watertight! The latch is made of abs and stainless steel components. The flange is actually backward than most ways of building hatches which makes it work so great. I do have a temporary piece of foam on them now but it has held up great so I just might not change it. I had a lot of intrest in them at the RedFish 13th Annual West Coast Wooden Kayak Rendezvous so I figured that I would post them here as well.
