It's tough when you onlay veneers. Later on you'll have to be especially careful when you sand the exterior glass and epoxy prior to finishing. The veneered section will always be higher. About the only sure-fire method to prevent air bubbles and other issues: real INLAYs.

I have been adding some real wood lettering to Chocolate, my latest boat and was wondering if anybody had any tips to avoid air bubbles along the edges of the lettering. The veneer is very thin and seems to glass ok and no air bubbles yet but it seems like a good place to develope problems if I am not careful.

Great upgrade to the site Nick. I love to see what everybody is building and hope to see many more pics.
