When you changed the sheer line, I believe you said you kept the ends the same height. Based on that, you look slightly bow heavy. Any gear should go behind of the paddler first, and when loaded it handles best with 2/3rds of the weight behind the paddler and 1/3rd in front (which I believe is true for most kayaks). You may want to check if the seat is a bit forward based on the instructions, but don't forget that the stern tip has been trimmed when you measure. The best way to check the trim with just a paddler in the Point Bennett is to see if the waterline at the stern stem is even with the chine line and half way down from the chine line to the bottom at the bow stem. That's how I designed it.
