I went back through my blog and found pictures of the boat prior to the deck chop. It certainly does appear that the bow rode higher last year!!

I'm pretty sure that my seat is a bit too far forward. Funny, but I moved it forward to help facilitate back deck rolls. (Actually, one of the main reasons for dropping the deck was because I found the aft coaming too high!) I wanted the "new" Point Bennett to be halfway point between a higher volume touring boat and a roller!!

I'm also thinking that there are some optics at work here as well. I chopped the nose off the boat which makes it look a little lower in the bow - not much, but a little. I think the camera angle may be a bit off as well - but not very much!

I only changed the deck sheer and not the hull so, by rights, it should float exactly the same as before. UNLESS I moved the seat, which I think is the main culprit!!

I don't think the new sheer should make the boat look like it floating bow down as the bow has the same volume as before.

Time to move the seat. Tomorrow night is pool night so I'm hoping to get the shift done before then so I can get a better assessment of the trim!! Problem is were calling for another snow storm tomorrow!! D'Oh!!!
