I glassed up the various striped up sheets and also as a whole assembly and fitted and glued it to the hull.
I had a "better idea for deployment and retrieval.It relies on a continuous cord loop running through the little hole in the top of the skeg shown previously and out through brass air tube fittings which are a nice snug fit around the cord.This is where most cord transmition friction is located.It is virtually water tight,Whilst un abraded at least.More of that later.
I off set the ferrules so that the cord exited the brass tubes without undue rubbing.
The cords go through small diameter electrical conector tubing each glue into both bulkheadsin the line of least deviation.
I fitted plan 'B"'s tie bar for the shockcord of stainless steel 316 grade .The idea was to keep the shock cord below the deck line if I had to resort to that system.It might just be visible.
