In Response To: Other: Inexpensive Kayak Hoist (john vanburen)
Several years ago, I was looking for a way to hang two 14 foot poly boats. A bike hoist would work for one, but wouldn't hold the weight of two. I solved the problem when I found a boat trailer hoist at a flea market. I lagbolted the trailer hoist to the wall, built an upside down "T" shaped cradle out of 2x4s to hold the boats, and used 4 eye bolts, 4 pulleys, and a roll of 3/8" nylon rope. No worries about anything falling on anything....
