This is what it looks like, Velcro under the seat, strap from the back belt to the seat, and straps from the back belt to the cheek plates and a couple of cords that go from the top of the back strap and attach under the cockpit. Pretty minimalist but it works.

If you are really into minimalist paddling here is one that I think Robert Pruden designed. Be careful of sunburns they can cause cancer or a lot of discomfort.
