I used a little gentle persuasion and got the two halves lined. I do have some stress evident in the fiberglass on the outside of one side of the hull. That happened earlier in the summer when I realized I had a problem and cut spreader bars to try to shape the hull. It doesn't look like it got any worse this evening but I suppose the right thing to do is fix the problem now instead of later.
I am assuming that involves removing the fiberglass in the effected area. Is there a way to do that without making it look like a mistake?
I will still likely put a solid block on the last 6" but the stress is evident further from the end.
Thanks again for all the advice
Aaron
