I think you may be referring to a book by Charles Walbridge, Boatbuilder's Manual or the like. I have it around somewhere, and it is very informative. I ordered it from Amazon or bn.com five or six months ago; it was listed as out of print, but eventually they located a used copy and I bought that. If you check Amazon, you'll probably turn up the listing. If I remember correctly, Nick submitted a review -- a very charitable one, so whatever happened to Karma?
