I've never been to Arizona, so sorry, I can't offer you any suggestions about what's in Pheonix.....but I do have a hard time picturing it as a mecca for wooden kayak building.....(okay, I grew up in Port Townsend, WA, which is a mecca for wooden boats, so maybe my judgement is skewed. But you should be able to add to your inventory of power tools....) Also, as that time is during Lent, it would be impossible for me to go, as I'll be swamped with work (I've thought about giving up Lent for Lent, but my parish would never let me go for it!!)
