Hi Julie;

Thanks for the info on Yakima. I found some of their product in the Web last night and, . . . ahem, . . . yes, they are a bit pricey. That shows a certain "pride" in their product, however. 8-)

I'm on a budget these days, having closed my business the end of last year and I'm just kinda thinking about what I want to do next. The Aerostar racks sounded like a winner, and I could surely fabricate the saddles. That's the way one thinks when there's lots of time and no income. I was noticing that I'll probably have to mount a step or carry a small stepladder to reach the tie downs on my Ram as well. That's the first downside I've found with my full size truck - Unless you count the 12mpg . . .
