I think 300 hours might be a little conservative. I sure like to see a thread from Joe and the other production guys on fast building. Where you get one month from first strip to glass I'd like to know! All staples? Maybe I'm just slow. I started my Spring Run in November, and probably have 200+ hours so far, including all the strongback, prep, milling, all of it. I am almost ready to start glassing. The difficulty of the deck pattern will change the hours quite a bit.

So I'm high on hours, but the wood and all the strongback materials have only cost me about $20.00 so far (I used a third of some redwood I bought, and the rest is recycled). I dont count tools toward the boat, they are in the "shop" category. Glass/epoxy will be $250 or so. That puts me low in cost, under $300.00. Likeley to be up to $500 with a new spray skirt, compass, deck rigging...
