Hi Don,
I have built kitchens( cabinets only ) in a relaxed environment, and it would take a month. When your livelyhood is involved.......well, I used to build about 3 kitchens a day with the boss standing over me. When we build for fun, we drink a lot of soda, coffee, some smoke a lot of cigarettes, we do a lot of thinking between steps, testing new ideas to save time, answer the phone, type our HELP messages to the BBS and much more. You probably waste 3x the amount of time as you are working. That's where the therapy comes in. When you lose all that, it's work!! Plus, in a shop, you can build 2 or 3 boats at the same time, just working on the same steps on each. Lots of time savings, but, no fun!
