In Response To: Glassing inside the hull.....help! (Brandon)

Brandon, Hang in there. Like Pete and Rick suggessted glassing 1/2 sections at a time might be less intimidating. Or glassing up to the ends then glassing the remainder seperately. Tape the glass loosely over the edges of the hull. Spend time smoothing the glass out before wetting out. Don't be in a hurry. The epoxy soaks into the glass and wood at its own rate, so simply adding more epoxy isn't as good a method as spreading the epoxy and letting it soak in. Use the squeegee gently while spreading the epoxy, use a paper towel to pick up the extra epoxy. Epoxy that flows into the bottom of the keel can be blotted up with a paper towel. The outside of the hull is much easier. Make sure to let the glass hang for a little while and make the first wet-out of epoxy even, squeegeed so that the glass is clear and evenly textured, no shiny areas of filled glass (save that for the fill coats). Save any extra glass that isn't gooped with epoxy, you can apply it to the underside of the deck before installation(in the tack-free but still uncured state)
