There is definite need for a well designed foot operated pump. A system to extend the pick up hose into another boat would be useful, as would the ability to operate it by hand if needed. It would be handy if the foot control could be mounted to the industry standard footbraces.

A good electric pump would need to be completely sealed so the whole system could operate while submerged in saltwater. The sealing mechanism would need to be pretty fool-proof. A recharging system that could be hooked up to a car cigarette lighter would be good.
