: At what point do you stop filling the little pin holes and small gaps before
: putting on the epoxy and glass. Will the epoxy fill these small voids?

If the gaps are huge you will get drips on the underside when you put on the first layer of glass. That seals the glass fabric, though, even if it bridges a considerable distance.

The second coat of resin will sit on top of the sealed fabric, and not drip through as you fill in the weave pattern.

When you flip the boat over to glass the inside you'll find that the drips have either partially or completely filled any gaps, and left a minor mess to scrape off before sanding the interior. (Why do I mention sanding at least once a week? Must be because I love it so. NOT !) Sorry about that outburst.

After getting the inside smooth you'll either find that the minor gaps have been filled with sawdust from your sanding (don't bother to remove it) or that they are tiny cups which will probably fill in with the first coat of resin you apply to that side. If they don't fill in and they look bad, you can treat them as you would an air bubble; poke a needle throught the soft, partially cured resin and force in some fresh liquid resin.

If you have gaps that you are certain will ooze resin when you first start puttign the exterior glass on you can try placing a strip of masking tape on gaps on the inside. The first coat of resin will fill the void, and when you flip the boat to do the inside your peel off the tape to reveal the absence of both void and drip mess.

Hope this helps
