I have a Cosine Wherry (now stored indoors) that, for 3 years, was stored outside with only a couple hours morning sun. It was under a blue tarp. Now the deck, where the tarp was in contact, is foggy-colored and needs to be redone. I'd suggest keeping the tarp off of the surface so that moisture isnt trapped under there and then "steamed" out in the sun.
