Nice suggestion. But I built my kayak in order to be able to paddle it lots. That's why it lives 50' from the water on a rack at our boat club. It may not last as long as some museum pieces have (how old is the Mona Lisa?) . . . but if it wears out, I just have an excuse to build another one.

Besides, my living room is much too small even to consider it.
