I have tried this on other small projects, but I suspect it will work when I come to this stage with my 15 ' warped boards. Use a bandsaw with a small rounded fence. It will regulate the thickness of the strip, and yet it will not waste wood cutting the board straight. With the strip cut off, it will then be easy enough to bend the thin strips. That is, just cut off 1/4" from the crooked edge of the board. This will leave you with a bendable strip. Do you think it will work? - Scott
