I'd say that that depends on your intended use and how much maintenance you are willing to do. If your going to use the boat hard, or neglect it once it's built, It might be better to FG.

I'm just starting on a Pygmy ge13, and I plan to glass inside and out on the hull, and the same on the deck, even though the directions don't call for it on the inside of the deck. In my case, I intend to allow this ge13 to be catamaraned via a couple of poles to my other boat (a stripper), so I think the deck could use the additional strength (i.e. FG inside.)
