Many a hay barn has burned for storing wet hay. I take it the water took enough heat out of the pile to keep it from igniting?
Also I remember seening how a French man
: took tons of hay which he would lay down a layer, then put coiled water
: hose on, then an other layer and so on until it looked to be 15 feet high
: and maybe 50 feet in dia. The hay stayed hot through out the Winter and he
: run water through it for hot his water supply
: John.
