Exactly, I think the best thing about building boats isn't doing an excellent job with exactly the right tool, it's doing an excellent job with what-ever tool and materials you have to hand. Improvising, thinking out the best way to do a job, and the best method, then adapting what-ever tools/materials you have, and doing just as good a job or better, even though that tool might not have been designed for that specific purpose, Man, it's a buzz isn't it?

Of course being able to afford all the proper tools for each job would be something I could live with ;-)
