I've allready got a plastic seat for my boat. My brother-inlaw (He's a plumber) did a job at the local school, He brought me home a chair that had damaged legs, said he thought I may be able to use it for my kayak. (personally, I thought He was full of shit). but after taking to it with an angle grinder, He was right. It's an old Namco/Sabco seat (like what you'll find used as stadium seating) after a radical reshaping I'll coat it with 3/16" water-proof foam sheeting and then use velcro to hold it in the boat. I've allready put it in the boat and sat in it, provides excellent lumbar support with-out getting in the way, and if I tilt it back it also supports the thighs wonderfully. God, I hate it when someone has a better idea than me!
Paul.
